Job summary

Walker & Sloan are recruiting a Senior Design Manager for a major hyperscale data centre project in Corsham, Wiltshire. You will provide strategic leadership across all design activities from pre-construction through to handover, coordinating with clients, consultants and delivery teams.

Ideal candidates will have significant experience leading design on large-scale construction projects in a main contractor environment, with strong governance, compliance and risk management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading design delivery on large-scale construction projects in a main contractor environment.
• Strong understanding of design governance and technical compliance alongside programme management.
• Chartered membership and SMSTS/CSCS Black Card are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across all design activities from pre-construction to handover.
• Oversee programme performance, design governance and risk management.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, commercial teams and delivery teams to support procurement, construction and commissioning.
