Job summary

Caddick Construction Limited in the North West is seeking an experienced Design Manager to oversee the preconstruction design phase across commercial, industrial and logistics projects. You will lead the design team, ensure client specifications and regulatory requirements are met, and collaborate with architects, engineers and the client to deliver cost-effective, compliant designs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Design Manager for main contractor projects.
• Experience in design and build, new build and refurbishment.
• Strong knowledge of CDM and Building Regulations.
• Experience managing document management systems.
• Ability to lead design teams and coordinate with architects and engineers.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and client liaison skills.
• Commitment to quality and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preconstruction phase ensuring designs meet specs and regs.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and stakeholders to create cost-effective designs.
• Manage project design budget and timeline.
• Liaise with the client team across multiple projects.
• Maintain communication to resolve issues to client satisfaction.
• Lead design team meetings and report progress to senior management.
• Ensure all projects adhere to company standards and regulations.
