Job summary

Dalkia UK is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead design management across major engineering projects. You will drive technical excellence, coordinate clients, consultants and internal teams, and shape design strategies from tender through pre-construction.

The role involves hybrid working across site and London/Milton Keynes regions, with emphasis on robust governance, risk management and innovative engineering solutions to achieve project success.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven leadership of complex Building Services projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of governance, design risk management and Building Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across multiple projects from tender to pre-construction.
• Develop and manage design strategies, programmes and deliverables.
• Identify and mitigate design risks to support delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Building Safety Act, CDM Regulations and industry standards.
• Coordinate consultants, designers and internal stakeholders to achieve objectives.
• Drive design quality, value engineering and innovation across projects.
• Support digital engineering and sustainability initiatives including Net Zero objectives.
• Provide leadership and guidance to project and design teams.
