• Knowledge of CDM regulations, British/International standards.

The Role – Senior Design Manager

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll lead the technical interface between our design team and external stakeholders, ensuring design excellence and compliance throughout substation, transmission, and distribution projects (11kV–132kV+).

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage design reviews (HAZOP, IDR) and ensure constructability is embedded early
• Coordinate with specialist sub-contractors, clients, and construction teams
• Oversee Temporary Works Design and support site-based compliance
• Guide civil design, consents, and surveying inputs
• Champion quality, safety, and efficiency in every project phase

About You:

️ Degree-qualified (ideally Chartered) in Civil or Structural Engineering

️ Strong experience in HV design/project delivery and Principal Designer roles

️ Knowledge of CDM regulations, British/International standards

️ Proactive, collaborative, and driven to deliver engineering excellence
