Senior Design Manager - UK North Business, Manchester

The Senior Design Manager will be responsible for coordinating the design elements and interfaces of specific tasks or projects, depending on size and complexity. They will fully understand and manage the design requirements of the tender/project, ensuring that the design is delivered in line with the programme requirements and meets quality and budget expectations.

The Senior Design Manager will report to the Project Lead.

The first project will be our Jersey Wharf development, a large residential tower block.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with Site Management on the development of design packages and procurement strategies.

The ideal candidate will be diploma/degree qualified in engineering with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Design Manager in a construction environment.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, HND, or HNC.
• At least 5 years of experience in Civil Construction Industry.
• Knowledge of Temporary Works procedures, Design Approval processes, CDM for Designers, and CDM Awareness.
