Senior Design Manager, London - UK South Build Division

We are recruiting for a Senior Design Manager to join our UK South Construction division on residential and commercial projects. The role involves understanding and managing the design requirements of tenders and projects, and providing guidance to design coordinators as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the selection of the design team.
• Define the responsibilities and scope of services for the design team.
• Coordinate the tender and construction programmes with the design team.
• Hold regular design meetings, involving critical sub-contractors as necessary.
• Advise on selecting specialist sub-contractors.
• Consider alternative building methods, sub-contractors, and materials.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage a full design team, including overseeing design managers and coordinators.
• Experience with site and contract procedures.
• Strong organizational, planning, and workload management skills.
• Good knowledge of Building Regulations and Planning Permission procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, View Point for Projects (4Projects).
