Senior Design Manager

Chelmsford, Essex

Full time, Permanent position

Our welcoming client has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Design Manager to work within their cladding remediation division.

Responsible for the full design process from tender stage through to completion, managing multiple delivery phases across more than one project simultaneously.

Role:

Within this role, you will lead the facade design on projects, delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions, ensuring compliance, and fostering excellent client relationships. You will drive project success through intelligent design, coordination, and proactive management to exceed expectations and achieve cost savings.

• Overall responsible for design on the project
• Develop robust, cost-effective, and buildable design solutions for each area
• Proactively manage the Design House and other design partners
• Produce technical submissions
• Deliver approval, construction issue, and production and installation information
• Coordinate with other trades, surveys, and supply chain
• Check drawings and production information
• Manage samples process
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and relevant standards
• Proactively manage IRS, RFI's, and Comment Tracker
• Serve as point of contact for the site team, ensuring timely resolution of queries
• Manage the design programme
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and main contractors
• Contribute to design meetings
• Demonstrate cost savings in each design

Experience:

Facade Design Manager / Senior Facade Manager with experience within facades.
