A Major Main Contractor is seeking a Senior Design Manager to join a project team for a c.£200m+ healthcare development in Buckinghamshire. The role spans pre-construction and a four-year programme, with a 12-month pre-construction phase requiring travel to a London office before site work begins.

You will lead design management, ensure technical compliance, and manage external consultants from feasibility through to delivery, coordinating with the client and site teams to meet tight timelines

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in a Design Management role for a Tier 1 or major Main Contractor.
• Healthcare sector experience would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between the design team, client, and site delivery team.
• Ensure full technical accuracy and compliance with building standards and healthcare design requirements.
• Drive an efficient design process aligned with project timescales and targets.

An award-winning Main Contractor with a strong pipeline of regional work is seeking a Senior Design Manager to join a major project team for a c 200m+ healthcare development in Buckinghamshire. The overall programme spans c.4 years in duration. The project features a c.12-month pre-construction phase requiring regular travel to a London office before the project transitions to site. Working within a dedicated major project team, the successful candidate will manage the design process from early feasibility and planning through to on-site coordination and final delivery. This is a rare opportunity to join an influential project from its inception., The Senior Design Manager will oversee technical compliance and design management, focusing heavily on early feasibility, planning, and procurement stages, while monitoring on-site design coordination and managing external consultant performance.

  Experience: Minimum 10 years' experience in a Design Management role working for a Tier 1 or major Main Contractor. Healthcare sector experience would be highly advantageous.
