  • Strong knowledge of UK codes, standards, and regulations.

Overview

Senior Design Engineer – Civil Engineering Main Contractor. The Role: A leading civil engineering main contractor is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join their team in Greater London. You'll take ownership of design packages on major infrastructure projects, provide technical leadership, and play a pivotal role in delivering safe, efficient, and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate design phases, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Produce, review, and approve designs, drawings, and specifications.
  • Work closely with project managers, site teams, consultants, and clients.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Carry out site inspections and resolve design issues.
  • Support project planning, risk management, and value engineering.
  • Ensure deliverables are met on time, to budget, and to quality.
About You
  • Degree in Civil, Structural, or related Engineering discipline (Master\'s desirable).
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards it.
  • Strong background in civil engineering design, ideally contractor-side.
  • Skilled in AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro (or similar software).
  • Strong knowledge of UK codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
