Job Description

NOV Kintore is the global HQ and engineering centre for wireline equipment manufacture and provides after-sales support for NOV intervention equipment in Europe, Africa, and the CIS. We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to deliver innovative engineering solutions within our Wireline Systems and Wellhead Pressure Control Equipment team. Reporting to the Principal Engineer, you will design hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems using advanced CAE tools throughout all project phases—from proposals to completion.

This role requires a solid understanding of technical and commercial engineering aspects, focusing on innovation, detail, and collaboration. You will contribute to our continuous improvement efforts, enhancing efficiency and performance aligned with our business strategy. This is a 2-year contract with the potential for permanence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop customized, customer-centric electrical solutions using advanced CAE tools.
• Lead design projects, including cost estimation, validation, and compliance documentation, ensuring delivery within budget and specifications.
• Provide expert technical support across departments and regions, including on-site installation, testing, and global client meetings.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Relevant experience in electrical design within oil and gas or related industries.
• Proficiency in CAE tools and engineering documentation standards.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, or electromechanical systems.
