My Global Manufacturing and Engineering client is looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer. They design and manufacture industry-leading engines that power over 5,000 applications worldwide - from marine and petroleum to electric generators and industrial machines.

As they invest in new technologies to support a more sustainable energy future, this role is a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects across new product introductions, advanced technologies, and platform upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and packaging of a variety of core engine components which include: Major aluminium and cast iron castings, geartrain, valvetrain, drivetrain and in-cylinder components. Components related to breather, cooling & lubrication systems, FEAD systems
• Working in a multi-disciplined global team to ensure solutions meet customer, durability and functional requirement
• Drive quality and cost-effective design solutions aligned with customer and functional requirements
• Conduct risk assessments (FMEA), manage project deliverables, and support part release for prototype and production

What We're Looking For:

• 6+ years of CAD design experience, ideally with engine/mechanical systems
• Knowledge in a minimum of one or more of the following Core Engine systems: Rotating Systems, Valvetrain, Castings, Lubrication, Breather and Cooling systems, Bolted joint and sealing experience
• Good understanding of Component Manufacturing principles & processes
• Good understanding of Manufacturing Assembly principles
• Design knowledge of engine & mechanical components and systems
• A technical qualification (HNC or degree in mechanical/automotive engineering preferred)
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and project planning skills
• Experience with CREO4, Team Centre, and APQP tools
• Familiarity with off-highway diesel or Spark-ignited engines
• Knowledge of alternative fuels and engine validation processes
