Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a proven track record of successful product design in consumer durables and/or have extensive experience of designing plastic injection moulded components.

Responsibilities

• Respond to commercial briefs for product specifications.
• Lead the design and development of innovative engineering solutions from concept to completion.
• Utilise CAD for creating detailed designs, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Collaborate with project management teams to ensure timely delivery of projects while adhering to specifications and budgets.
• Conduct data analysis to evaluate design performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Build prototypes and conduct testing to validate designs against project requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in design engineering.
• Prepare technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and user manuals.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Design Engineer or in a similar role within an engineering environment.
• Strong, demonstrated proficiency in 3D CAD software and the ability to create complex schematics.
• Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully leading engineering projects.
• Experience of designing components for plastic injection moulding domestic components and materials is essential
• Experience of commissioning injection mould tools is preferred but not essential
• Experience of Siemens NX is preferred but not essential
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
• A degree in Product Design or Engineering.
