Senior Design Engineer – Civils & Structures

Glasgow

£50,000 and £60,000

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join a high-performing design team delivering major rail and civil engineering projects across Scotland.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to take ownership of complex infrastructure projects, lead technical design, and mentor the next of engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead design from feasibility through to detailed delivery
• Develop innovative, practical engineering solutions
• Manage projects, budgets, and timelines while ensuring quality
• Mentor and guide junior engineers
• Represent design at project meetings and stakeholder discussions

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Design Engineer in rail, civil, or structural engineering
• Civil Engineering degree + IEng/CEng accreditation (or working towards it)
• Hands-on experience with bridges, stations, platforms, and civil structures
• Strong technical leadership and project delivery skills
