Qualifications

Trillium Flow Technologies serves customers in the power, oil & gas, general industry and water & wastewater sectors with highly engineered valves, pumps and actuators, as well as complete support in every phase of a project or operation.

Trillium have UK Facilities/offices in Alloa, Elland, Bedford, East Kilbride & London. As well as employees-based UK wide within Customer sites.

An exciting new vacancy has arisen within the Elland facility for a Senior Design Engineer

Trillium Flow Technologies is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join our Engineering team in Elland. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the design and development of high-performance control and isolation valves that meet demanding customer, regulatory, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret technical specifications to design valves that meet contractual and service requirements.

  • Perform material selection and engineering calculations to size valve components.

  • Generate Bills of Materials, general arrangement drawings, and detailed part definitions.

  • Review and check the work of other team members.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across procurement, assembly, inspection, and testing.

  • Support manufacturing and testing processes.

  • Prepare design reports and support sales with technical input for tenders.

  • Contribute to new product development and adopt emerging technologies.

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.

What We’re Looking For
  • Degree or HND in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).

  • Ideally 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Working knowledge of valve design standards (API, ASME; ASME III desirable).

  • Understanding of PED requirements.

  • Proficiency in Solid Edge and Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plus.

  • Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.

  • Chartered Engineer status is desirable.
