The Role

Design solutions using NX CAD and simulation software for innovation projects involving products, systems, and solutions. Liaise with suppliers on specialist equipment design to support product manufacturing.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop new products with improved performance specifications
• Lead development projects in your area of expertise
• Initiate work, in agreement with staff, to meet product specifications
• Ensure compliance with Product Development protocols, e.g., standards and company quality systems
• Exchange relevant knowledge across all technology departments and manage key interactions between design and suppliers
• Conduct or provide technical support for field tests to verify design suitability
• Stay updated with technical developments in relevant fields

The Candidate

• Designer with proven experience in developing 3D products for industrial design
• 5+ years’ experience using NX (preferred), SolidWorks, or equivalent CAD software
• Understanding of processes involved in design and production environments
• Degree or equivalent in relevant STEM or Product Design subjects
• Experience in project management and teamwork on projects
• Skills/experience in simulation (e.g., CFD, FEA) working with various materials
• Good interpersonal and team-working skills with awareness of different cultures
• Ability to learn quickly under tight deadlines
• Ability to communicate and report complex issues effectively
