Job summary

The Dermatology department at Glan Clwyd Hospital, part of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, is inviting applications for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Dermatology. The role covers the North Wales Dermatology higher training programme and offers opportunities in outpatient clinics, patch testing, paediatrics and acne, with a strong emphasis on teaching and postgraduate training.

The post is 40 hours per week, with 32 hours Direct Clinical Care and 8 hours Supporting Professional Activities.

Qualifications

• Fully registered with the GMC and MRCP.
• Desirable: Postgraduate Dermatology Qualification.
• Experience in taking clinical responsibility and prior dermatology exposure in the UK.
• Desirable: Minor operations experience with supervised lists.
• Four years of full-time post-Foundation experience, with at least two years in a structured training programme or equivalent.
• Desirable: Audit experience and involvement in service development.
• Teaching to undergraduates and postgraduates; published or presented work.

Responsibilities

• Approximately 32 hours of Direct Clinical Care (DCC) including outpatient clinics, cutaneous surgery, ward rounds, referrals, and direct patient-related administration.
• Approximately 8 hours of Supporting Professional Activities (SPA).
• Contributes to postgraduate and undergraduate teaching and training within the department.
