Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Dermatologist to join our team. The role includes formal job planning with the Clinical Director within three months and a 10 PA week structure combining Direct Clinical Care and SPAs for teaching, research, and governance.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT or CESR.
• Desirable: broad dermatology experience including skin cancer, paediatric dermatology and phototherapy.

Responsibilities

• Agree a formal job plan with the Clinical Director and colleagues within 3 months.
• Role based on 10 programmed activities (PAs) per week with 8 PAs Direct Clinical Care and 2 SPAs.
• Responsibilities span clinical work, teaching, research, education and management.

Education

MBBS, MBChB or equivalent medical qualification

MRCP or equivalent medical qualification

MSc, MD, PhD or equivalent higher medical degree
