Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in London is seeking a Private Bank Product Lawyer to support the brokerage trading desks across the EMEA Private Bank. You will manage legal issues arising from derivatives, structured products and cash trading for clients including professionals and retail investors.

You will work with the Products Legal team to cover a broad range of products, including funds, alternatives and managed products, and will coordinate with compliance and risk teams across regions.

Qualifications

• England-qualified lawyer with 4+ years of experience, ideally at a top law firm or financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of UK/EU regulatory frameworks affecting derivatives and structured products.
• Experience with ISDA Master Agreements, structured products programmes and F&O documentation.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Private Bank Structuring and trading teams to advise on sale and distribution of derivatives and structured products.
• Act as point person for equity and fixed income traders on trading-related legal matters, including IPO distributions and private transactions.
• Stay up to date on UK/EU regulations (EMIR, Dodd-Frank, MiFID II) and advise on compliance.
• Advise on trading documentation (ISDA Master Agreements, structured products programmes, F&O).
• Advise on development of policies and controls for existing and new products.
• Determine when external legal support is needed and manage external advisers.
• Collaborate with colleagues across locations in EMEA, risk and compliance teams to support the business.
