Overview

We’re currently seeking an experienced Senior Depot Coordinator to lead and manage operations at our Derby depot.• Monday to Friday 10.30am to 6.30pm• Circa £36kWe specialise in sustainable water asset management solutions, delivering exceptional value outcomes in potable water, wastewater and the environment.

What you'll be doing
Reporting to the National Fleet & Equipment (NFE) Manager, you will oversee regional administration and manage stock, equipment, vehicles, and facilities, while supporting Depot Coordinators nationwide. You'll also coordinate effectively with support services, site teams, and project management. • Oversee, support, and mentor Depot Coordinators nationally to assist the NFE Manager in maximising depot operations. • In collaboration with the NFE Manager, and to enable operational efficiency, coordinate the local fleet by ensuring servicing, roadworthiness, availability and proper use. This includes all related administration and driver tracking allocations. • Manage equipment maintenance and inspections, ensuring all items are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose. • Be responsible for goods in, goods out, and stock rotation to ensure quality as well as operational and cost efficiencies. • Undertake regular stock checks to ensure availability, while avoiding excess stock piling. • Issue tools and equipment to local teams, ensuring these are returned after use whenever possible. • Act as a local representative for buildings and facilities. This includes routine compliance checks, eg fire alarm testing and legionella. Be the point of contact for contractors attending site to ensure tasks are completed to a satisfactory standard and in a timely fashion. • Undertake minor maintenance tasks such as replacing cables, fitting signs, lubrication and minor mechanical repairs and fitting telematics units to vehicles in order to manage cost and enable operational output. • Make adequate arrangements for waste disposal and collection with waste reduction in mind. • Undertake site deliveries as and when required. • Maintain excellent standards of housekeeping in the stores and yard areas in line with legislation and company procedures.
Who we’re looking for

• A pro-active problem solver who naturally takes ownership to drive solutions, escalating where necessary.• Commercially savvy to manage a minimal-wastage environment and maximise profitability.• Hold a current driving licence, preferably with towing experience.• Proven experience in a similar role, and knowledge of working in an environment that requires knowledge and understanding of health and safety procedures.• Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite• Experience of maintaining small machinery and equipment, ideally including PAT testing.
