Qualifications
- BDS or equivalent
- Registration with GDC
- NHSE Performer List number
- Not subject to open or ongoing Performer Investigation
- Postgraduate qualification in Paediatric Dentistry
- Five years post-graduate clinical activity
- Experience with special care patients
- Experience of clinical audit
- Handling confidential and sensitive information
- Collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Competency in conscious sedation techniques
- Treating patients under General Anaesthesia
- Delivery of domiciliary dental care
- Mentoring or Clinical Supervisor experience
- Expertise in Special Care Dentistry
- Understanding of physiology and medical conditions affecting dentistry
- Knowledge of NHS guidelines in sedation, special care, and paediatric dentistry
- Basic Life Support and emergency leadership skills
- Knowledge of local NHS service structures
- Legislative knowledge for oral healthcare in England
- Strong knowledge of clinical and restorative dentistry
- Immediate Life Support/Paediatric Immediate Life Support certification
- Knowledge of communication methods with anxious patients
- Awareness of dental care regulators
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel)
