NHS Shetland offers a unique opportunity to undertake a senior role that combines clinical, leadership, and management responsibilities.

We are a progressive Public Dental Service with modern, well-equipped surgeries providing dental services to a remote and rural area. Our focus is on patient-centered care and continuous professional development.

The key responsibilities include direct clinical care, leading and mentoring the clinical team, and involvement in operational and strategic matters.

You will receive support from the Senior Management Team and have the opportunity to develop your clinical interests in line with service needs.

Our service has strong links with secondary care, including Orthodontics, Restorative, OMFS, and Special Care Dentistry, provided through visiting consultants and specialists. We also provide core PDS services such as care for priority groups, care homes, school inspections, and oral health promotion. Our workforce includes dentists, therapists, dental nurses, oral health advisors, and dedicated support staff.

Shetland offers a beautiful environment with a warm community, low pollution and crime, excellent schools, leisure facilities, wildlife, and scenery, all within a short flight from the UK mainland.
