Job Opportunity: Demand Planning Professional

This is a great opportunity for a Demand Planning professional to join an established food manufacturer in Kent. This is a newly created role due to the company’s continued growth and will take control of their demand planning function.

You’ll be responsible for proposing and implementing solutions to improve forecast accuracy by analyzing historical data, market trends, customer information, and commercial insights. Build both long-term and short-term forecasts to ensure product availability.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Supply Planner and Supply Chain Administrator.
• Lead forecasting efforts in conjunction with the Commercial Team, holding regular reviews and analyzing data accordingly.
• Interface with customer planning functions to obtain data, build forecasts, and strengthen relationships.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations for all Supply Chain transactions.
• Use Budget/Forecast data to regularly review site capacity.
• Build and maintain a 12-month rolling forecast.
• Drive continuous improvement within the Supply Chain Team and the wider business.
• Maintain a good understanding of the S&OP process.
• Manage obsolete and slow-moving stock to mitigate potential write-offs.

Experience

• Proven experience in a Demand Planning role, ideally within food, drink, or FMCG sectors.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain processes.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
• Highly proficient in Excel.
• Experience managing or supervising a small team.
