Senior Delivery/Implementation Lead – AI/DeepTech (Retail)

Location: Central London (Hybrid)

Reports To: Chief Product Officer

Salary: Up to £110,000 + Equity

A rapidly scaling AI startup, backed by top-tier VCs and industry leaders, is seeking a Senior Delivery Lead/ Implementation Lead to drive execution across high-impact product rollouts in the retail technology space. This isn’t a traditional project management role — it’s a strategic and hands-on position for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and knows how to align cross-functional teams around delivery excellence.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring that enterprise software integrations — primarily involving on-premise edge devices — are deployed smoothly from pre-sale through to post-sale stages.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the full delivery lifecycle of cutting-edge AI products for major retailers — from pre-sale scoping through to rollout and post-sale support
• Coordinate timelines, tasks, and deliverables across engineering, product, QA, and commercial functions
• Engage directly with client stakeholders to manage delivery milestones, feedback loops, and technical needs
• Introduce structured planning and improve execution accountability across teams
• Spearhead infosec questionnaire responses and internal projects using automation and generative AI tools
• Embed and champion AI-native tools and workflows to streamline delivery processes and reduce overhead

About You

• 5–8 years in delivery/project management, ideally within high-growth or product-led tech companies
• Minimum 5 years experience in B2B enterprise environments, including 2–3 years working on on-premise hardware/software integrations (crucial!)
• Proven ability to lead complex software deployments for enterprise or retail clients (RetailTech a bonus!)
• Strong communicator with a track record of coordinating multiple teams and stakeholders
• Experienced with tools like Notion, Jira, Linear, or Asana for project tracking
• Hands-on and proactive in using generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Notion AI, Zapier) to automate workflows and improve internal processes
• Comfortable with ambiguity and able to take ownership across various moving parts

Nice to Have

• Background in delivering AI/ML-based products in production environments
• Experience working with retail technology or enterprise retail clients
• Exposure to startup environments or early-stage scaling
• Familiarity with infosec processes and customer security compliance workflows
