Senior Delegated Underwriting Analyst

Pro currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Delegated Underwriting Analyst to join our Insurance Services team. The role involves taking ownership of complex lead binder reviews and new Coverholder applications, both for the company and Lloyd’s.

Pro offers a flexible hybrid working policy, with the role based at home and at our Gloucester or London office. Regular travel to London may be required for those based in Gloucester.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Reviewing and preparing new applications for Lloyd's, including worldwide coverholder and branch applications.
• Ensuring binding contracts, master policies, consortiums, and line slips comply with company procedures and regulations before and after binding.
• Performing technical due diligence and risk assessments of Coverholders to ensure high standards.
• Providing technical support and guidance to underwriters and assisting with Coverholder approvals.
• Monitoring regulatory changes and collaborating on compliance solutions.
• Drafting direct dealing contracts and endorsements as needed.
• Processing tasks efficiently, adhering to client SLAs.
• Interacting professionally with clients via phone and email.
• Handling and resolving queries from clients, brokers, Coverholders, and internal teams.
• Assisting with workflow management and reporting.
• Understanding and managing Client KPIs and SLAs.

Skills and Experience

• At least 2 years’ experience in delegated functions with Lloyd's and company markets exposure.
• Strong knowledge of underwriting practices.
• Understanding of regulatory binder control frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High attention to detail and pragmatic approach.
• Strong technical skills and workload prioritization.
• Understanding of insurance and reinsurance principles.
• Familiarity with London market systems and procedures is desirable.
• Knowledge of Property, Casualty, Marine, and US insurance markets is advantageous.
• Positive, conscientious, and collaborative attitude towards work and colleagues.
