Job summary

UTAC invites applications for a Senior Engineer in Defence to develop and deliver tests that validate military vehicles at the cutting edge of technology. You will collaborate with customers to understand needs and create tests evaluating regulatory, performance and reliability requirements, then report results.

You will lead technicians and engineers, manage test planning, data collection and reporting across projects from short-term tasks to multi-year vehicle platforms, while driving

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required, recognized by Engineering Council.
• Masters or higher degrees are helpful but not required.
• Support towards IEng/CEng with IET or IMechE.

Responsibilities

• Design tests with solid technical foundations to meet customer needs.
• Liaise with customers/test authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver tests and reports.
• Specify facilities, sensors and DAQ equipment as appropriate.
• Analyze test data and judge regulatory compliance and fitness for purpose.
• Write clear test reports and compile data packs for customers.
