Senior Dealership Accountant

Location: Guernsey, Channel Islands

Reporting to: Senior Financial Controller

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

The Client

With over 300 branches and 4,000+ employees across Europe, they are one of the continent's fastest-growing automotive groups. In Guernsey, our client runs a unique multi-brand operation and is now looking for a driven, detail-oriented Senior Dealership Accountant to oversee financial operations.

About the Role

You will be the financial heartbeat of the dealership, ensuring accurate reports, strategic forecasts, and effective cash flow management. You will support leadership by providing clear, insightful financial information to guide business decisions.

The Responsibilities:

1. Create and present monthly management reports.
2. Monitor budgets and performance, explaining variances.
3. Manage cash flow efficiently within bank limits.
4. Oversee key assets such as stock, debtors, and funding lines.
5. Prepare weekly forecasts and annual plans to meet targets.
6. Finalize annual accounts and assist auditors.
7. Maintain oversight of the balance sheet, accruals, and provisions, ensuring budget adherence.
8. Ensure compliance with PAYE, TAX, and VAT regulations.
9. Manage payroll, bonuses, and commissions accurately and fairly.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience as an Accountant within a Car Dealership.
• Proficiency with Dealership Accounting Packages such as Kerridge, Keyloop, Autoline, or Pinnacle, and strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Knowledge of Power BI or similar business intelligence tools is a plus.
• Understanding of Sales, Service, and Parts KPIs.
• Familiarity with the motor trade industry and its specificities.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
