Location: Dover

Salary: A GBP 27,919 per annum plus benefits

Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full time

We are recruiting for a Senior Day Programme Facilitator in Dover.

Here at The Forward Trust Community hub, we support people with issues related to drugs and/or alcohol who want to make positive changes. We also support the families and friends of those concerned about their loved ones' substance use.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Provide support within a community-based treatment setting to drug and alcohol users aged 18 and over (dependent on service).
  2. Deliver the Forward Trust's Substance Dependency Treatment Programme using the 12 Step Approach in a community day rehab setting.
  3. Contribute to the success of the day programme and support service users in making transformational changes.
  4. Manage a caseload of service users, delivering interventions and facilitating structured programmes daily.
  5. Assess service users and support their admission, working closely with Recovery Workers across East Kent.
  6. Deliver services both face-to-face and online, with flexibility for evening/weekend shifts and travel to other projects as needed.

  • Flexible to meet evolving service needs.
  • Capable of carrying out assessments and designing SMART care plans.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to focus on key issues quickly.
  • Effective negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with service users.
  • Sensitivity to diversity and equality issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and video conferencing, with ability to support digital literacy.
  • Understanding of the 12-step approach.
  • Experience with psychosocial interventions and structured programme facilitation.
  • Knowledge of client information management systems.
