Job summary

BP is seeking a Senior Dataiku Product Engineer to join the Trading Analytics DevOps team. You will own the Dataiku platform, collaborate with Architects, Product Owners and Service Delivery to deliver enterprise-scale platform solutions across multiple environments, supporting hundreds of end users.

You will drive design, automation and monitoring, define roadmaps, manage cost and security models, mentor junior engineers and champion best practices for data engineering, data science, and BI

Qualifications

• Bachelor or equivalent in CS/Engineering or a numerate field.
• Enterprise DSS experience as lead product engineer with hundreds of users and multiple environments.
• Deep technical and functional DSS expertise for Data Science/Data Engineering with APIs.
• Experience defining upgrades, RBAC, LDAP, and scalability of DSS.
• Proficient Python for platform automation and pandas data engineering.
• SQL data modelling and ETL principles with standards.
• SDLC design and tooling including Git, Jenkins/ADO pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own platform architecture within an agile DevOps team.
• Define platform metrics to monitor cost and reliability.
• Assess new platform capabilities with architects and product owners.
• Deliver high-quality platform solutions through full lifecycle (design, development, test, deployment).
• Collaborate with project and service delivery leads to plan deliverables and manage outages.
• Define standards for deployment, hosting, availability and recovery.
• Automate platform processes with source control and CI/CD, and drive continuous improvement.
