Job summary

NTT DATA in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Data Engineer/Architect to deliver data solutions for enterprise clients. You will lead data pipelines, design Databricks-based lakehouse architectures, and ensure governance and security across projects.

The role requires deep expertise across the data lifecycle, mentoring teams, and strong client engagement. You will collaborate with analytics leadership to translate business needs into scalable data platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years in data engineering, data warehousing, or data architecture roles.
• At least 3+ years working with Databricks.
• University degree required; advanced degrees preferred.

Responsibilities

• Client engagement and delivery of data solutions.
• Develop batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Design Databricks and lakehouse architectures.
• Model data and optimise Delta Lake/Medallion.
• Collaborate with teams and promote best practices.
• Ensure quality, governance and security.
• Manage business relationships with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with solution architects.
• Coordinate data engineers, developers, ML engineers and analysts.
• Engage client stakeholders up to head of data engineering.
