Senior Database Administrator – Milton Keynes – Permanent – Excellent Negotiable Salary & Package

Working on behalf of an established and recognized software business, we are seeking applications from experienced Database Administrators (DBAs) with a primary focus on Oracle. As a Senior DBA, you will be responsible for providing operational support and maintenance in project environments, working closely with development and project teams.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience working hands-on with Oracle DBA & SQL Server.
  • Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting – query tuning, indexing, locking.
  • Strong knowledge of TSQL and PL/SQL.
  • Extensive experience in RDBMS software installation, database creation, database sizing, backup and recovery procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
  • Strong time management, organizational, analytical skills, and the ability to identify opportunities for optimization and process improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (both oral & written) and the ability to collaborate with technical teams of all skill levels.
  • Proactive, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Flexibility regarding working hours, based on operational needs.

This role is predominantly remote, but it requires regular visits to the office location. Candidates who live too far away or have an unreasonable commute may not be suitable.
