Job summary

Topcoder is seeking a senior data platform architect to lead the technical design and architecture of enterprise data warehouse solutions on Snowflake and AWS. You will guide a team, ensure code quality, and drive governance, optimization, and lifecycle management across critical data initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data warehouse design and management.
• Proven expertise with Snowflake platform architecture, configuration, and optimization.
• Strong experience with AWS services including data lake storage, compute, and related data platform services.
• Proficiency in data modeling, SQL, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience with incident management and troubleshooting complex data platform issues.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
• Client-facing experience with ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and architecture of Snowflake and AWS data warehouse platforms, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, industry best practices, and project objectives.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce adherence to coding standards to maintain consistent quality and performance across all platform components.
• Manage dataset operations including creation, updates, and deletion across Snowflake and AWS data lake environments.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for incidents, service requests, and enhancement requests with emphasis on timely resolution and minimal platform downtime.
• Monitor and optimize storage usage, perform capacity planning, and implement data lifecycle management strategies.
• Lead technical discussions and present architectural decisions to stakeholders, demonstrating strong communication and influencing skills.
