Job summary

Relation is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to help build generative and predictive models for cellular behaviour using single-cell multi-omics. You will work across teams to advance ML-driven insights and model development in a fast-moving programme.

Ideal candidates have a PhD or equivalent experience in computational biology or a quantitative field, with hands-on large-scale multiomics experience and proficiency in Python and HPC environments.

Qualifications

• PhD (or equivalent industry experience) in computational biology, bioinformatics, or related quantitative field.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale single-cell multiomics data (RNA + ATAC).
• Proficiency with single-cell toolkits and workflow systems (Nextflow, Snakemake).
• Experience with CRISPR perturbation screen data and QC.
• Proficiency in Python; experience in HPC environments.
• Strong cross-disciplinary communication.

Responsibilities

• Process and QC large-scale single-cell data across perturbations and contexts.
• Develop and maintain Nextflow pipelines for multi-omics processing.
• Integrate multi-modal data with proteomics and imaging datasets.
• Collaborate with wet lab and ML teams to ensure analytical tractability.
• Contribute to evaluation frameworks and model development.
