Capco is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join its UK Data Practice in London. You will design and implement cutting-edge data science solutions across financial services, mentoring others and collaborating in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead PoCs, MVPs and production deployments, build ML models with Python and ML libraries, and work with cloud platforms to drive business and customer outcomes. The role offers a hybrid work model and exposure to Tier-1 financial institutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and deploying data science solutions in Python and ML libraries.
• Strong background in applied ML, model development and data engineering.
• Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) and tooling like Spark, Hive, Redshift.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor juniors.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of data science solutions including PoCs, MVPs and production deployments.
• Develop and prototype ML models to solve business challenges using modern techniques.
• Collaborate with engineers, domain experts, and business teams to translate requirements into deliverables.
• Coach data science pods and support solution design.
• Serve as SME on ML architecture, model calibration and productionisation.
