  • Driving the collection, cleaning and verification of new data and the refinement of existing data sources
  • Collaborating to design and develop new tools and products to put powerful decision support interfaces in the hands of end-users
  • Analysing, interpreting and communicating the results of product experiments
  • Working closely in cross-functional teams to identify and answer important product questions

  • Knowledge of statistics (ideally bio-statistics) and data clustering techniques
  • Knowledge of bioinformatics resources and analyses such as functional and pathway analysis
  • Ability to contribute projects through application of quantitative, data science or bioinformatics approaches

Preferred:
  • Familiarity with workflow management systems (such as Cromwell or Nextflow) and/or containerization (such as Docker) would be a plus
  • Experience working with large data sets, Trusted Research Environments (TREs) and/or cloud computing platforms (AWS or Google Cloud) would be advantageous
  • Familiarity with analysis of genomics, proteomics or transcriptomics data and/or electronic health records
  • Experience with advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms would be a plus

Key attributes:

  • Confidence to make suggestions and influence change
  • Ability to work well to deadlines, while paying attention to detail and accuracy
  • Flexible approach to working in teams or in self-driven projects
  • A high degree of pragmatism in building the simplest thing that does the job; we want to use technology to solve real-world problems expediently
