You will mentor junior colleagues, design robust software architectures, and ensure delivery rigour across projects while building deep client relationships.

Qualifications

• Senior experience in a professional data science role or a quantitative academic field.
• Strong programming skills with Python (NumPy, Pandas) and a deep‑learning framework (PyTorch).
• Deep expertise in core data science paradigms (supervised/unsupervised, NLP, validation).
• Leadership mindset focused on growing the technical capabilities of the team and nurturing collaboration.
• Commercial awareness with experience in client‑facing work and translating business problems into rigorous mathematics.
• Ability to plan projects, estimate delivery timelines, and lead teams to deliver high‑quality work on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Leading project teams that deliver bespoke algorithms and high‑stakes AI solutions to clients across sectors.
• Conceiving the core data science approach and designing robust software architectures for new engagements.
• Mentoring a small number of data scientists and supporting technical growth on projects.
• Partnering with commercial teams to build client relationships and scope projects for feasibility.
• Contributing to Faculty’s thought leadership through courses, public speaking, or open‑source projects.
• Ensuring best practices across the project lifecycle to guarantee quality and impact.
