Expedia Group is seeking a talented Data Scientist III to join the Hotels.com Analytics team. You will own analytics for growth domains and design experiments to shape strategy, product roadmap, and marketing tactics. You will work with product, marketing, supply, and central analytics teams to drive data-driven decisions.

You’ll develop an analytical toolkit using SQL, Python, and statistical methods, create dashboards, and translate insights into actions that impact KPIs and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Mastery of SQL and experience with complex data ecosystems.
• Translating big data into strategic, actionable recommendations; end-to-end data processes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience applying statistical methods and experimentation (A/B, Pre/Post).
• Experience with Director+ stakeholders to influence decisions.
• Strong business acumen and problem solving.
• Analytical storytelling and data visualization skills.
• Ability to visualize analyses for presentations and reporting (PowerPoint/Tableau).
• Quantitative degree preferred.
• Experience in e-commerce or travel industry bonus.

Responsabilités

• Deep dive into Hotels.com customers and booking data to uncover patterns and growth paths.
• Design, conduct, and analyze experiments (A/B, Pre/Post) for product and marketing initiatives.
• Develop analytical toolkit (SQL, Python, statistical methods, experimentation) to extract insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and provide insights.
• Drive actions to improve Hotels.com KPIs (revenue, engagement, retention).
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs; train stakeholders.
