The organisation has been established for over 20 years, with more than 1,000 staff members. It specialises in online sales and is a large-scale tech company with offices in London and Scotland. The company values a positive, welcoming culture and offers flexible in-office days, typically twice a week.
You will work within a team of 7 engineers and scientists to ensure the deployment, monitoring, and scaling of solutions in live environments.
The focus will be on leveraging advanced technologies such as Generative AI (GenAI) and recommender systems to enhance travel discovery content and build a leading platform.
You will lead initiatives across the data science lifecycle, from problem definition and data exploration to model development and evaluation. Collaboration with engineering teams will be essential to deploy, monitor, and scale solutions effectively.
Responsibilities include developing advanced GenAI and recommender system solutions, researching LLMs, multimodal models, and content-based filtering for personalized recommendations. You will also design evaluation frameworks to ensure content quality and relevance.
Working with cross-functional teams, you will integrate AI solutions into the platform, optimise models, and support deployment and maintenance of machine learning models. Staying updated on AI advancements and experimenting with new methodologies will be part of your role.
The role offers a competitive salary of up to £95,000 (depending on experience and skills), with hybrid working (2 days in-office). Employee benefits include various bonuses.
