Job summary

Mastercard seeks a Senior Data Scientist to design, validate and deploy machine learning models across global customers. You will conduct PoV exercises to demonstrate value and work on fraud, scam and mule detection solutions.

You will support production models as fraud patterns evolve and partner with colleagues to deliver customer value. The role emphasizes analytical rigor, Python expertise, and the ability to communicate complex results to diverse audiences while working both independently

Qualifications

• Experience developing, evaluating, and deploying ML models in a commercial environment.
• Strong proficiency in Python for data science and machine learning.
• Experience working with structured and large-scale datasets.
• Ability to apply scientific thinking and analytical approaches to problems.
• Strong communication skills to explain concepts to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Configure, validate, and deploy machine learning models for customers worldwide.
• Run Proof-of-Value exercises to show model performance and business impact.
• Contribute to research, development, and evaluation of fraud detection solutions.
• Support and improve production models as patterns evolve.
• Collaborate with Product, Customer Delivery, and Data Science teams to add value.
• Analyze complex datasets to improve detection performance and outcomes.
