Job summary

DNV is seeking a Senior Data Science Innovator to join the Strategy, Innovation & Partnerships (SIP) team. You will work at the intersection of data science, innovation, and strategy to shape scalable digital solutions for critical energy infrastructure.

You’ll collaborate with customers to identify problems, develop models, and deliver MVPs that progress to production, guiding solutions from concept to scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in quantitative field (Data Science, CS, Stats, Math, Physics)
• Significant experience in data science or applied analytics
• Ability to independently tackle loosely defined problems and deliver structured solutions
• Experience delivering end-to-end data science projects from exploration to deployment
• Experience working with business stakeholders or product teams

Responsibilities

• Uncover customers’ pain-points and desirable gains by interviewing customers and mapping inefficiencies
• Design, build, and refine models and algorithms for experiments, prototypes, and MVPs
• Turn ideas into testable experiments and validate with data or stakeholders
• Lead analytical workstreams from framing to prototype, validation, and handover
• Collaborate with experiment managers, engineers, domain experts, and product teams to drive adoption
• Mentor teammates and contribute to internal data science communities
