Job description

WHO ARE WE:

We're Mediahub, the industry's best-kept secret. This year, we received our first Campaign School Report, ranking number one for building the most ethnically diverse team in the industry. COMvergence also ranks us as the UK's fastest-growing media agency for the second consecutive year.

We bring a challenger mindset to everything we do. Brands choose to work with us to disrupt category norms.

We offer the best of both worlds: a start-up culture backed by Mediabrands.

Some of the brands we work with include New Balance, Pinterest, and Celebrity Cruises.

Role Description

This multifaceted role is suited for candidates with a strong interest in harnessing the power of machine learning and those familiar with data science who want to develop their skills on real client challenges that significantly influence decision-making. For example, see our award-winning NBD tool on our website.

As our Senior Data Scientist, you will lead decision-making processes and be responsible for the technical specification, development, and delivery of new data products that provide transformational value for the business and clients like New Balance. These data products will leverage machine learning algorithms to address predictive forecasting or classification problems, creating a significant impact. This is a fantastic opportunity to build upon award-winning work and develop new products from scratch.

You will oversee architectural decisions, methodology, and model selection, working closely with data engineers on the agency's data infrastructure built on AWS. You will also serve as the go-to data technologist for our clients, providing recommendations and roadmaps to solve problems using ML or similar solutions.

About You

  • Degree(s) or professional experience in data science fields
  • Experience with data system development (e.g., API interaction using Python or other languages; data manipulation with SQL)
  • Experience with cloud-based data analytics architecture (e.g., Databricks, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform)
  • Proficiency with data analysis libraries in R or Python (e.g., numpy, pandas, scikit-learn)
  • Deployment experience: Docker, Lambda, Amplify
  • Attention to detail and effective time management
  • Experience deploying and maintaining applications end-to-end
  • Solid knowledge of statistics, including descriptive statistics, regression, probability, sampling, MCMC, hypothesis testing, and econometrics techniques

Bonus Points

  • Back-end development experience (support available for front-end development)
  • Experience with frameworks like Flask, Django, FastAPI
  • Knowledge of marketing technology platforms (e.g., DoubleClick, AdWords, Facebook) and their reporting APIs and logs
