Reporting to one of our Lead Data Scientists, our Senior Data Scientist is a key appointment to the Jet2.com Data Science Team. You’ll be responsible for delivering key data science initiatives that generate significant value by combining insights from multiple large data sources with contextual understanding and experience across the business.

Join an established team of 30 Data Science professionals across the UK and India, using Data Science to understand, automate, and optimize key business processes. Our work spans the customer journey: from marketing, pricing, customer understanding, to airline and holiday operations.

Responsibilities

As our Senior Data Scientist, you will:

• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to identify and enthuse across the wider group.
• Take responsibility for delivering initiatives, breaking them down into measurable tasks, and reporting progress.
• Work within a team of Data Scientists under a Lead Data Scientist, applying machine learning and statistical models.
• Communicate solutions effectively to stakeholders and produce actionable recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies throughout projects.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong numerical and statistical background, with expertise in Python preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL, experience with Snowflake desirable, and ability to create clear visualizations in tools like Tableau.
• Experience in deploying data science initiatives from concept to production is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms for data science and storage is a plus.
• Ability to gather, cleanse, and enrich data from multiple sources and formats.
• Understanding of data governance and quality assessment.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
