Position: Senior Data Scientist

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing actionable insights across projects, primarily in Aviation and Defence sectors.

This role requires analytical versatility to evaluate problem spaces and apply appropriate tools and techniques, ranging from statistical analysis to advanced numerical modeling. Programming expertise and proficiency in handling large datasets are essential.

The role offers a mix of remote and onsite work, with an expectation to work in the Guildford office 2 days per week.

Required Skills

Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills with complex data, a passion for learning, and the ability to develop deep subject matter expertise. Effective communication and teamwork with data scientists and developers are crucial.

• Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with libraries such as SciKit Learn, Pandas, Numpy is highly desirable.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks like Pytorch or TensorFlow.
• Understanding of the full data science project lifecycle, from problem definition to data engineering, modeling, and evaluation.
• Ability to perform ad-hoc data mining and integrate large structured and unstructured datasets from multiple sources.
• Strong knowledge of statistics and probability; a foundation in calculus, linear algebra, and analysis is advantageous.
