Job summary

Disney+ Analytics & Insights is seeking a Senior Data Scientist in London to join the EMEA team. You will lead forecasting of customer trends, build robust data science models, and communicate insights to stakeholders while collaborating with Content, Subscriber Growth, and Local teams.

The role is based in London Hammersmith with four days in the office and one day from home. You will apply strong Python/SQL skills, develop semantic models, and explore agentic AI solutions to enhance marketing,

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of data science experience.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills.
  • Experience with time-series forecasting and causal inference.
  • Experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Familiarity with agentic AI solutions preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive engagement forecast model end-to-end from data collection to forecasting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and productionise results.
  • Improve methodology and model accuracy.
  • Handle ad hoc modelling requests.
  • Support EMEA Analytics and cross-functional teams.
  • Develop semantic models and extend to agentic AI solutions.

About the Role

Disney+ is The Walt Disney Company’s Direct to Consumer video entertainment service. The service consists of long form and short form video built around six key content brands (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic andHulu) with an appealing and easy to use interface accessed across multiple platforms (e.g. televisions, mobile devices, PCs).

The Disney+ teamis responsible fortheday-to-dayoperation of Disney+ across Europe, MiddleEastand Africa, specifically focused on marketing, customer acquisition and retention, partnerships andsynergy, content programming,researchand analytics.

We are looking foran enthusiasticSeniorData Scientistto join our Disney+Analytics & InsightsEMEA team.The purpose of this role is towork collaboratively alongside functional EMEA Analytics teams (Content, Subscriber Growth, Local)and wider business leadsto deliver robustdata science projects and models.Sitting within the Data Science team there will beafocus on forecasting ofcustomertrends and engagement as well as ad hoc modelling to gainadditionalinsight from our vast customer data.

This role willleverageexcellent technical,storytellingand communication skills, as well as the ability to work cross-functionally toidentifybusiness needs and deliver data science projects across EMEA.

This role will be based in our London Hammersmith office, 4 days a week, with either a Monday or Friday working from home.

What you will do
  • Drive the development, design and implementation of the engagement forecast model. End-to-end involvement from data collection, algorithmdevelopmentand forecasting. Play a key role in collaborating with stakeholders, communicating insights andproductionalisingresults. Continuously explore ways to improve themethodologyand the model accuracy
  • Manage and solve ad hoc modelling requests from stakeholders
  • Develop andmaintainsemantic models and extend them intoagentic AI solutions
  • Consult with stakeholders at all levels acrossDisney+ to aid in the delivery of data science driven projects
  • Support insight analysts across EMEA Analytics team, ensuring statistically robust results are delivered and best practices are followed
  • Build strong relationships across theGlobal and InternationalAnalyticsand Data Scienceteams tocollaborate where
  • Develop understanding of existing Global data science tools availableand potential opportunities to apply them in EMEA
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Proficient in writing SQL
  • Significant experiencein Python,Ror other statistical programming language
  • Familiarity withbuilding and evaluating agentic AI solutions preferred
  • DegreeinData Science,Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field with4+years of experience in data science-related roles
  • Demonstrable understanding and practical application ofdata scienceconceptswith particular focus onexperimentation design,time-series forecastingand causalimpactmethodologies
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, deliveringhigh-qualityoutputs withstrongattention to detail
  • Flexibility in approach, taking creative approaches to getting results where necessary
  • Strong communicationskills with experience talking to both technical and non-technical audiences aboutdata scienceconcepts, bestpracticeand limitations
  • Experienceusingconsumer behavioural data preferred
