Job summary

easyJet, a FTSE-listed, major European low-cost airline, is seeking an experienced Data Scientist lead to drive end-to-end analytics projects. You will translate insights into actionable guidance for operations and technology teams, shaping smarter decisions across the business.

You will mentor junior data scientists and collaborate with Product Owners, Software Engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver measurable performance improvements.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience leading end-to-end Data Science projects in complex environments.
  • Degree or MSc in a scientific/analytical discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, CS, Engineering or Physical Sciences.
  • Significant commercial experience in Data Science roles with progression in responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge across programming, ML, data prep, visualisation and predictive analytics.
  • Exposure to optimisation, simulation or advanced analytical techniques.
  • Experience delivering DS solutions in operational environments.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results in fast-paced settings.
  • Strong stakeholder management with the ability to present to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with Product Owners, Software Engineers and cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for mentoring and building analytical capability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Data Science projects from problem definition to production deployment.
  • Analyse complex datasets from multiple sources to drive strategic decisions.
  • Develop, validate and deploy predictive, simulation and optimisation models.
  • Translate findings into clear recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and technology transformation.
  • Mentor junior Data Scientists and share knowledge.
  • Contribute to best practice development across the organisation.
  • Stay updated on emerging tools and methods and evaluate for business use.

Salary: £30,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements
  • Significant experience leading end-to-end Data Science projects within operational, logistics, manufacturing or similarly complex environments
  • Degree or MSc in a scientific, engineering or analytical discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Physical Sciences
