Job summary

EF Recruitment seeks a Senior Data Scientist for a 6-month contract with hybrid work arrangement. You will own international analytics across the UK and Canada, maintaining revenue dashboards, models, and regulatory reporting.

You will collaborate with product, marketing, engineering, and compliance while driving end-to-end analytics BAU. The role requires hands-on expert in production ML, SQL, Python or R, and experience with Looker, Airflow, and Google Cloud.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading data science/analytics, incl. BAU
• Strong SQL and Python or R with ability to read/maintain code
• Hands-on production ML maintenance: refresh, retrain, monitor, troubleshoot
• Knowledge of Looker, Airflow, and Google Cloud
• Advanced quantitative degree or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Monitor international revenue baseline UK/CA; investigate anomalies and warn on movements
• Support partner monitoring and admin tasks; lookalike and recommender changes
• Run email campaign performance monitoring; anomaly investigation and churn analysis
• Support experimentation: monitor experiments and promotions
• Represent analytics in forums and business reviews; translate tech for partners
• Maintain production models: refresh, retraining, redeploys; keep healthy
• Hand over models/pipelines with monitoring/docs to permanent team at contract close

Job description

Our award-winning global SaaS client is seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Data Scientist covering International (UK and CA) run-the-business analytics and data science. You will be the sole senior owner, keeping revenue visibility, regulatory reporting, and the current model suite running. This role is a 6 Month contract, Hybrid working - potential to extend.

You will work closely with product, marketing, engineering, business development, compliance, and member support. This role suits an operator who takes over existing BAU and runs it end to end with minimal hands-on support, staying reliable under real deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the International revenue baseline across the UK and CA. Investigate anomalies and give early warning on revenue movement
• Support partner monitoring and escalations: new offer setup, lookalike and recommender admin, partner click-report fixes, and partner ranking changes
• Run email campaign and performance monitoring: anomaly investigation, re-targeting, send-failure triage, and churn-driver analysis
• Support experimentation and testing: experiment monitoring, reads, and promotion calls
• Represent analytics in forums and business reviews, and translate technical detail for business partners
• Maintain the current suite of production models: scheduled refreshes, retraining, and redeploys. Keep models healthy without rebuilding them
• Hand over models, pipelines, and reporting with monitoring and documentation to the permanent team at contract close

Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data science and analytics, including running production models and BAU analytics
• Strong SQL and Python or R. Comfortable reading and maintaining an existing codebase and pipelines
• Hands-on experience maintaining production ML models: refresh, retrain, monitor, and troubleshoot, rather than building from scratch
• Working knowledge of Looker, Airflow and Google cloud
• Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or similar), or equivalent experience
