Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a senior Data Science leader to design and deliver advanced machine learning solutions for enterprise clients across Europe. This hands-on technical leadership role combines architectural direction with practical enterprise implementation experience.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of professional experience, 8+ years in ML, an advanced degree, and deep expertise in Python, DL frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow), and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional experience.
• 8+ years hands-on ML and data science.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field.
• Proven experience deploying ML models in enterprise environments.
• Strong Python and ML ecosystem skills (scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy).
• Experience with DL frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow).
• Knowledge of CNNs, RNNs/LSTMs/GRUs, Transformers, and transfer learning.
• SQL and data manipulation; large-scale data and Spark.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end ML solution delivery for complex enterprise use cases.
• Translate business challenges into structured ML problem statements and architectures.
• Design, develop, and optimise ML models including CNNs, RNNs, Transformers.
• Guide algorithm selection, evaluation, and production deployment decisions.
• Mentor data scientists and ensure modelling standards and reproducibility.
