ITSS Recruitment is partnering with a global healthcare and insurance organisation to hire a Senior/Mid-level Data Platform Engineer. The role is majority remote with occasional travel to London or Manchester offices.

You will design and operate an automated Azure/Snowflake data platform, mentor engineers, and drive secure, scalable data solutions for analytics and BI. The position emphasises platform engineering over pure data engineering, with strong IaC and CI/CD focus and opportunities for

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in platform engineering with Azure-based data solutions.
• Proficiency in IaC with Terraform.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Strong knowledge of observability, logging, metrics, and alerting.
• Security-first mindset in Azure/Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and delivery of robust, automated, and scalable Azure and Snowflake data platform components.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions to support rapid, reliable deployments.
• Implement observability practices including logging, metrics, and alerting using observability tools.
• Collaborate with the Lead Engineer and Architects to align implementation with platform standards and patterns.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mid-level engineers, promoting best practices in automation and monitoring.
