Job summary

Balyasny Asset Management L.P. in London seeks a Senior Engineer to design, implement, and maintain high-performance data acquisition, storage, and retrieval systems and APIs, including real-time data streams.

You will onboard new datasets, profile them for alpha research teams, and collaborate across teams to accelerate discovery, improve stability, and scale operations in a front-office trading setting. A degree in CS and 7+ years of hands-on software development experience are required;

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field with computational focus.
• 7+ years of hands-on development experience building and supporting production systems.
• Proficient in Python and able to work with OO/functional styles.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high-performance data acquisition, storage, and retrieval systems/APIs (including real-time data).
• On-board and profile new datasets for the platform to support alpha research.
• Collaborate with systematic alpha research teams and stakeholders to accelerate discovery and improve scalability.
