Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions’ MarTech – Marketing Automation team seeks a Lead Data Engineer to design and deliver scalable CDP solutions, enabling unified customer insights across the organisation. You will collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to shape architecture, lead design decisions, and ensure effective integration of customer data systems with governance and privacy controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in software engineering, data engineering, or data architecture.
• Lead engineer or senior IC with ownership of critical platforms.
• Experience designing and operating Customer Data Platforms (Oracle Unity, Salesforce Data Cloud, Adobe Experience Platform, Tealium).
• Strong data modelling and Customer 360 architectures experience.
• Strong SQL, Python, and JSON skills.
• Experience integrating CDPs with data lakes, CRM and analytics platforms.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks) and REST APIs.
• Understanding of data governance and privacy regulations; able to lead technical discussions.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable CDP solutions using Oracle Unity CDP.
• Build and integrate data pipelines to ingest, transform, unify, and synchronize customer data from multiple sources.
• Define, implement, and maintain data models supporting Customer 360 profiles, segmentation, and activation use cases, with strong data quality controls.
• Integrate CDP with the enterprise data lake and related platforms, ensuring consistency and governance.
• Lead and contribute to technical design, data modelling, and architecture workshops with engineering and business stakeholders.
• Identify technical design and data model risks, validate their impact, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor, optimise, and support ETL processes and CDP operations, resolving data quality, performance, and integration issues.
• Establish and maintain documentation, data governance, and security standards, ensuring compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate technical concepts, trade-offs, and recommendations clearly to non-technical stakeholders and executive audiences.
• Partner with the Oracle vendor implementation team throughout discovery, build, and go-live phases.
