Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate a scalable Azure and Snowflake data platform. You will collaborate with architects, mentor engineers, and align implementations with enterprise standards to deliver robust analytics capabilities for healthcare and insurance.

You will own infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, develop CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, and advance observability, security, and performance across environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in platform engineering with a focus on Azure-based data solutions.
• Expert-level knowledge of Azure and/or Snowflake services, including Data Factory, Data Lake, Azure ML, and Power BI/Fabric.
• Infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Strong observability practices: logging, metrics, alerting, and performance optimization.
• Cloud security and secure-by-design principles in Azure and/or Snowflake.
• Scripting and automation with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Proven collaboration across engineering, data science, and business teams.
• Ability to document designs and present solutions to stakeholders.
• Leadership experience mentoring junior engineers and promoting knowledge sharing.

• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Proven track record working across engineering, data science, and business teams
• Ability to document technical designs, contribute to platform standards, and present solutions to stakeholders
• Leadership experience mentoring junior engineers and fostering continuous improvement and knowledge sharing is highly desirable
